Process
When designing a space, it is important to collaborate and partner with each other as much as possible. At GLDESIGN we believe in constant contact with our clients, the sharing of photos you like and don’t like, trusting us to take design risks (push you out of your comfort zone!) all while staying within budget.
After our initial contact whether it be by phone or email, we will set up a complimentary walk through of the space to discuss your ideas and vision. During this initial meeting, our team will put together a scope of work and from there develop a custom proposal for your review. Included in the GLDESIGN proposal will be an overview of what we discussed, a detailed scope of work, our design fee quote and an estimated timeline.
Design
We love meeting our clients during the initial walk through not just to determine project scope but to also get to know YOU and your vibe. While developing the design boards for your personal space, we apply your vision and infuse the GLDESIGN aesthetic to each page. Once the proposal is signed off and design boards in motion we will invite you in for a studio visit so you can see, touch and feel some of the proposed textiles and elements of your space.
Our interior design responsibilities include measuring the project space, taking photos, designing the space and implementation. We work alongside contractors to insure the proper execution of our designs from carpentry, flooring, painting, wallpaper and many more design elements. In addition we will supply you with scaled floorplan drawings as needed, project management of all items ordered and final stage styling.
Installation
We manage each project from A to Z. Construction to final installation we install all furnishings and keep to a previously communicated timeline. Styling is a big part of this phase (and our favorite part!) and includes everything from coffee table books to greenery to baskets and blankets. When you walk into your space after install, there should be nothing left for you to do but sit back, enjoy and feel at home!
