When I first met this family, I immediately felt their warmth and kindness and wanted the design of their primary suite to reflect that same feeling. We made the dramatic Dutch ceiling the showcase, trimming its double-mitered shiplap in white oak and filling the bedroom with cozy textures and washable fabrics. In the adjoining bath, warm brass, honed tile and a custom fluted white oak vanity created a more elevated escape, while the arched entry helped define each space without closing it off. The finished suite brought together our love of laid-back luxury and modern California design.
