Perched atop beautiful ledge rock in Darien, this home had a magical setting and a family ready to make it their own. We brightened the entry and reworked the kitchen around their biggest wish: a nine-foot island with room for everyone to gather. Relocating the powder room made space for a walk-in pantry and custom bar, while a curved plaster hood and woven furnishings brought warmth to the kitchen. An arched opening led to a new mudroom with painted lockers and a white oak bench. Throughout the renovation, we kept their intention close: a home meant to be lived in and loved.
