I knew from the minute I saw this character-filled home on its oversized beach lot that we had to have it. To bring it back to life, we kept the palette neutral, lightened the floors and wrapped the home in shiplap, adding white oak wherever we could for warmth. Room by room, we refreshed the bedrooms and baths, updated the kitchen and created a sun-filled bonus room above the garage. By mixing salvaged elements with natural textures and unexpected touches of color, we gave this much-loved home new life without losing the quirks and original beauty that made it so special.
